Getting Started
|
|
Before contacting me, it’s worth getting an idea of the types of documents held at The National Archives by looking at their research guides and online catalogue.
To access these, go to the Related Links page.
You should also consider consulting local archives and county record offices and the numerous online websites as these can sometimes be the best place to start your research.
To save you time and money and help me focus my search, you will need to be clear about what you already know and what you want me to look for.
Please be aware that WW 2 Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines and RAF service records are still with the Ministry of Defence.
